Karen Kay, founder of specialist publication 'Faeries and Enchanment' and organiser of the very popular 3 Wishes Faery Fest in Cornwall, shares her passion and love of faeries with Kindred Spirit. Faeries have always captured the imaginations of children, and in our society it is widely accepted that children believe in faeries, whether it's simply the excitement of waiting for a loose tooth to fall out so it can be placed under the pillow ready for the 'tooth fairy' to collect, or making a wish as they close their eyes and blow seeds from a dandelion. Yes, magic is truly alive in the hearts of children. However, sadly it's something that most of us grow out of when we reach adulthood - not me though! I often describe myself as literally being 'away with the faeries'! I am one of the increasing number of 'big people' who still beleives in the existence of faeries. Well actually it's not really a belief, but rather an inner 'knowing'...
